Using the Microsoft Access Interface for MIS3
by Ian O. Morrison
---------------------------------------------

The file MIS3.MDB on this disk includes an interface
for MIS3 databases for use with Microsoft Access 97 (TM).
This interface allows a user to look at records in
MIS basic inventory files using MS Access, and to print
out a basic record from that software.

MIS3.MDB will be copied to the directory MIS4 during
installation of the software on this disk, and should
be opened from there using MS Access. It depends on
there being a file called MIS3.DBF in the MIS4
directory of the C: drive, though these settings can
be changed within MS Access itself.

The record printing format is set up for the Bennie
Museum, and the name of your museum should be
substituted at the bottom of the form, using the "Design
View" in MS Access.

If there are any problems, please contact Ian O. Morrison
at (tel.) 0131-247-4203, or your nearest MS Access expert.
