PART VI: POSSIBILITIES FOR FUTURE WORK IN THIS AREA

There remain many problems to be solved in this area. Detailed studies of the relationships of the Rodel amphibolites to the metasediments; the lithology of the Finsbay gneisses to determine which are igneous and which sedimentary in origin; and more detailed structural work are required. More work ia required on the migmatisation and metasomatism of rocks in this area to elucidate why some rocke are apparently unaffected by metasomatism while others are almost completely altered. Such work would require detailed study of small areas and then application of what is learned from these to the larger areas. Exposure is generally good enough for even the most detailed field study.
