A record in the Museum Inventory System
One of the tools I have developed and provide, free of charge, is the Museum Inventory System, a "zipped" copy of which is available by clicking on the link below:

To install MIS4 on your system, it will need to be "unzipped" into a suitable folder on your hard disk. Standard utilities such as PKZip (DOS) or WinZip (Windows) can do this. If you need help with this process, please e-mail me at i.morrison@yahoo.co.uk, or ring me - Livingston 416462.
MIS was developed from 1989 to 1995 and is a DOS-based application which will work on almost any standard PC, no matter how old. It is intentionally limited in its scope and features, providing for little more than very basic inventory requirements.
The records you create are stored in standard dBase files, which makes it very simple to transfer them to more sophisticated systems in the future. If you need help with that process, please get in touch. A much more sophisticated Windows-based system which is also available free of charge is AdLib Museum Lite.
